Privacy Policy
This policy summarizes what data Attendly uses, why it uses it, and how you can request changes or deletion. It is written for teachers, academies, and students.

1. Data we may collect
We collect account data such as name, email, timezone, role, workspace settings, and subscription details.
We may also store operational student data: name, phone number, assigned classes, attendance replies, payment status, notes, feedback, inbound and outbound messages, and custom data the workspace chooses to request.
2. How we use data
We use data to operate Attendly: create sessions, send reminders, process replies, show reports, help with payments, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
We may also use technical data, logs, and metadata to diagnose errors, measure performance, and keep the service secure.
3. AI and external providers
Attendly may share the minimum necessary context with AI providers to decide replies, classify messages, or generate operational summaries.
We also use providers such as WhatsApp/Twilio for messaging, Stripe for payments, Google for login if you choose it, email services, and hosting. Each provider processes data according to its role and its own policies.
4. Student messages
When a student replies through WhatsApp or another connected channel, Attendly may store the message content, phone number, date, channel, and relationship to a class or session.
The workspace owner is responsible for informing students that Attendly is used to manage operational communications.
5. Sharing information
We do not sell personal data. We share data only when needed to provide the service, comply with law, protect Attendly, or follow a workspace owner's instruction.
Workspace data is not shown to other workspaces unless the same WhatsApp number voluntarily connects to more than one context and resolving that connection requires it.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep data while the account is active or while it is needed to operate the service, resolve support issues, comply with legal obligations, or maintain reasonable records.
You can request correction or deletion of data. Some technical copies may remain temporarily in backups or security logs.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including access controls, trusted providers, and workspace-level data separation.
No system is perfect. If we detect a relevant incident, we will try to communicate it according to applicable law and expected impact.
8. Contact
For privacy, access, or deletion requests, contact us through Attendly's support channel or the support email we have provided.
